How to crochet a Foundation Single Crochet
The Foundation Single Crochet (FSC) will be needed in cases where we need elastic initial row. This method forms a beautiful braid along the all first row. Now let's take detailed look at how to make a foundation single crochet.
At first make 3 chain stitches.
Insert your hook into the third off the hook loop (the loop on the hook is not counted) grab the working yarn and pull a loop.
We make one chain stitch into the stitch has just been made.
Then, grab the working yarn and pull it through two loops on your hook.
The process is repeated: insert your hook into the chain stitch which has just been made, grab the working yarn and pull loop.
Insert crochet hook into the same loop and make one chain stitch. We've got two stitches on the hook.
Grab the working yarn and pull it through two loops on the hook.
And so on ...
