How to crochet a Foundation Double Crochet
Today we tell you about the The Foundation Double Crochet (FDC). This elastic initial row is performed using a double crochet stitch. Every next stitch is done into the chain stitch, which was made in the base of the previous stitch. A similar method to make the initial elastic row - the Foundation Single Crochet.
So, here is the sequence of execution of the foundation double crochet.
At first make 4 chain stitches.
Then, make a yarn over.
Insert your hook into the first loop of chain, grab the working yarn and pull a loop.
Make a yarn over and pull it through first loop on the hook. Now, there are again three loops on the hook.
Grab the working yarn and pull it through two loops on your hook. We have two loops on the hook.
Then again grab the working yarn and pull it through remaining two loops on your hook.
The process is repeated: make a yarn over, insert your hook into the chain stitch which has just been made, grab the working yarn and pull loop. There are three loops on the hook.
Make one chain stitch into first loop on the hook and so on ...
