Rice (Moss) Stitch Pattern

Another name for this pattern is Moss. This pattern is double-sided. It’s made of knit and purl stitches. Pattern is dense with fine embossed figure. It blends with other patterns, especially with Cable and Twisted. So it is often used in the pattern companion. The rapport of the pattern in width - 2 stitches, in height - 2 row. In order to make this pattern need to cast on an even number of stitches.
Row 1: * knit, purl * ;
Row 2: * purl, knit * ;
Thus knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.
