Crochet Square Motif #5
You can crochet this pattern any size. You can experiment with different colors. This pattern is perfect for a variety of your projects and allows the use even small remnants of yarn. The alternating rows are shown with different colors: the first row - black, the second - blue and so on. Start crocheting from the centre, beforehand making the sliding loop.
1 round (blue): 1 turning chain, make 12 single crochet in ring, join with slip stitch;
2 round (blue): * 4 chains, 2 treble crochet in single crochet of previous row, 4 chains, 1 slip stitch in stitch of previous row * - repeat 3 times, join with slip stitch in point 2;
3 round (grey): join yarn to upper chain of four chains of previous row, * 4 chains, 2 treble crochet in next two stitch of previous row, 1 slip stitch in upper chain of four chains of previous row * - repeat till end of round, join with slip stitch in point 3;
4 round (green): make same as 3rd round, you can make any number of rounds in a similar way;
5 round (blue): join yarn to upper chain of four chains of previous row, 1 chain, [1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet] sequentially in chains of four chains of previous row, * 1 single crochet in upper chain of four chains of previous row, 1 half double crochet in treble crochet of previous row, [1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet] in next treble crochet of previous row * - repeat 2 times. Corner of square we design in the following way: 1 single crochet and 1 half double crochet in upper chain of four chains of previous row, then 1 double crochet in treble crochet of previous row, 2 chains, 1 double crochet in next stitch, 1 half double crochet and 1 single crochet in upper chain of four chains of previous row. Then continue crochet the sides of the square from *. Join with slip stitch.
